I decided to use Andalus as it was simple and easy
for the reader to view and understand the content. I also decided to add a
second font choice this was Pepsi,
this broke up the simplicity of the magazine
and made it more interesting and engaging to the reader.
Colour
For the colour scheme I chose quite
simple colours that worked well together they were also the colours that were
associated with Aquinas College (red, black and white) so this made the
magazine more referable to the college and fit the purpose.
Cover Star/Choice of image
The cover image fits its roll quite
well as this
is a mid-shot therefore it is suitable to be the main image, furthermore the shot is framed as a direct glare drawing
you in to the magazine.
Choice of Headline
The headline is quite modest but
gives the reader enough information to want to read on also as it is broken up
with the different font styles making it more dynamic and engaging.
Use of research
My research for content was mostly
based on the questionnaire that was carried out to gather information it was
fairly reliable as the people who answered the questionnaire went to Aquinas.
Improvements
Have more specialized images for
the primary images used on the magazine.
Include more content from the
questionnaire.
Make the layout more easy to follow
and not as busy.
